You can kiss your comfy animation job good-bye, kids. Once the execs get a hold of this you'll be out on the street. And you TDs better not get all uppity, either. Even mo-cap can't compete with this.
sweet n scary stuff... amazingly fast... i wouldn't be surprised if some internet giants like google or yahoo would buy this out soon... the next thing would be seeing these kind off web applications on networking sites like facebook and myspace etc...
Reminds me more on sth. like a 1000 years old game... Using game engines/environments and Characters to produce a "short" is a upcoming technique - which can be quite interesting and fun, but will never replace an animators job!
hmmm it might actually find a place in doing long form low budget tv. once assets have been created the rest of the production can be done by trained dolphins :)
this is a modern day version of microsoft's 3d movie maker. it pretty cool but i don't think animators have much to worry about. thou it would be very useful for creating animatics
