Why bother with something like this when I have Painter- a far more capable program which I spent hundreds f dollars on? Well, it's the light, limited and online nature of it that I like. When I have to do anything by hand I tend to freeze up. It's too daunting. Art becomes serious and I get timid. But Odosketch is inviting. It's online. You do it in your browser. It's the ultimate in throw away ethereal media. You can't take seriously anything you draw online in a web browser for free. You just can't. That's very freeing. For me at least. The interface is butt-simple, too.

odosketch looks interesting, but I just wanted to say that I have that exact problem with my drawing as well!
hey, odosketch is great! Besides drawing I like to be able to see the way others did their drawings from beginning to end. And you're so right about art getting "serious", Keith!
Hey Keith, it's funny because I feel the same way when I color with my kids. We have this activity table with a big roll of paper, and we just pull it out over the paper and draw on it with crayons. I feel totally uninhibited when I draw there, but I completely clam up when i draw in my sketchbook. Since it's "throw away" work, you're freed of the binds of committing to something..

Similar, but different.
I like it, but it bugs me that it imposes a kind of 'Napoleon Dynamite" aesthetic on your drawings that you have to work to avoid.
